To catch up then, after the resident IT guru torpedoed the website, the next trip out is happening over the weekend of Friday 24th to Sunday 26th of Feb.

The plan at this stage is to camp at Corris Uchaf for both nights, as Basil is now getting old, and has requested an electric hook-up type site, so he can bring his electric blaanket and plug it in, along with his vintage goblin Teasmade.

Routes are roughly based around Machynlleth, Happy Valley, B*****d lane, and then, on Sunday, heading up towards some new lanes around Coed-y-Brenin forest and then moving towards Lake Bala.

As usual, state your interest, and if your doing the two nights.

Caatering wise, i’m open to suggestions. I’m willing to go with the group catering, but with associated help both prior and post trip logistics wise.

yep – was me that bolloxed up the whole thing :)

Anyhooo – yep i’m up for some if there is room again. Especially in the lovely warm, comfortable Land Cruiser back seat :)

We can do group catering but from memory the pub down the road did pretty good food for Saturday PPM. And we can grab something on the way over for Friday night. For me last time out with basic saus/bacon for breakfast and sangas for lunch worked for me.

Anyone ?

The pub meal seems to be a winner for me, along with sarnies for lunch and brekkie.
Rich:- the camp site does have eclectic hang- ups, so let me know if you want me to book you a spot.
Also, can Steve and SMS let me know when you’re tipping up so I can book the camping and let me know if you want to do your own cooking, or a bit of bulk catering.
Routes done now, will send rich and Kev a copy, anyone else want it then let me know.

Just realised that i hadn’t sent the routes out, so i have now done so.

I have just been having a flick through the routes, theres plenty of new, untried stuff, as well as some family favourites. Theres about 200 miles of it altogether, so plenty to get stuck into.

I cant wait to go now!

Ahhh I hope that old boy who owns it is still there.

Reminds me of the farmer of Carry on Camping….. pound per tent, per person, per day – mind you these days it would be a tenner !

Looking forward to it

Rich… Of course the motors will be sorted. We have just replaced one smashed side window due to the local yobs, and the cunts have had another go yesterday…

Catering wise, we (in the Toyota) will be catering on a vehicle basis, and the gwar and i have decided to cook some scoff at the campsite on Saturday evening, to cut down on the pub time.

I’m already packed

But surely they only improve the looks and were probably testing your bumper for impact resistance.

Well another rubbish weekend! Weather was appalling, company was painfully, the routes were Tarmac and the campsite was full of families and Jehovah’s Witnesses “……………. Not

Thanks Dave for some good routes as usual, the gang were on form and no dogs were heart in the making of this weekend…everyone had a good time until Saturday nights visit to the local pubs! And the lack of good pint (although the tea was nice) and it was made even more pleasant By the fact Kevin wasn’t there! Lol

P.s. well done steve for turning up and staying the whole weekend.
